- Educational opportunity for military children - the Interstate Compact for Military Children Act

- Free access to state parks and museums for disabled veterans
- Study White Sands Missile Range Size Increase
- Salute to Veteran's Month - November every year
- Post-traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Day - March 28 every year
- Fully fund Medical Care for Honey Sue Newby and other Level Three Spina Bifida Children of
Parents who Served in Vietnam
- Blue Star Mother's Day in the legislature
- Established law and processes for overseas military members to vote electronically/ provided New Mexicans overseas (US citizens) the right to vote for local candidates
Transparency in Government
- Co-sponsored a bi-partisan bill to bring transparency to state govt - The Sunshine Portal Act
Ethics
- Highlighted the problems associated with government waste and unnecessary spending
- Required NMSU Course on Elected Official Ethics

- Study school staff shortage issues, counselors and nurses
- Classroom supply tax credit (didn't pass)

- Educational opportunity for military children
- Secured funding for early childhood education programs and farm to school vegetables
- Supported new and extended behavioral health programs
Domestic violence as well as other acts of violence
- Established Domestic Violence Victim substitute address
- Secured Domestic Violence Treatment Fund Uses
- Imposed penalties for law enforcement officers convicted of domestic violence
- Advocated for the humane treatment of animals
Infrastructure
- Provided funding for infrastructures (streets, roads, water, gas, waste treatment, flood control),
community & senior centers, law enforcement, parks, and hiking/biking trails
- Co-sponsored the Colonias Infrastructure Act
- Brought over $2 million to Chaparral for infrastructure improvements, waste treatment, and parks
- Brought nearly $2 million to the East Mesa Colonias for flood control, roads, and community
centers and playground equipment (completed)
- Brought over $800,000 to Otero County for flooding in Dog Canyon and Boles Acres
- Passed Memorial for completion of the Continental Divide Scenic Trail
Job Creation
- Created hundreds of jobs through economic development initiative
- Passed the first two bills allowing Union Pacific to build their facilities in Santa Theresa
- Worked to keep chimps at Holloman facility
- Worked to ensure our schools have counselors and school nurses
